Day One:

Welcome to Barbados!

Upon arrival, you are greeted by a fast track representative with efficient customer assistance. You will be escorted through a fast lane that will whisk you through a dedicated fast lane in customs, saving you time and a hassle free arrival process.

Once you have experienced all the pleasures of Grantley Adam Airport, you will be escorted by our transportation team who will be awaiting your arrival. During your short ride to our home away from home for the next few days, enjoy a complimentary cold beverage and cool towel.

Staying at our renowned luxury condos set the stage for a comfortable and well relaxed experience during your 7 day stay.

The afternoon is yours as it offers a variety of options, allowing you to tailor your activities to your interest before an official meet and greet dinner later that evening. Whether you want to watch a polo match, explore the local area, visit the Holders Farmers Market for local products, or immerse yourself in history at the Barbados Museum, the choice is yours.

Our evening will conclude with a flavorful Bajan dinner, providing an opportunity to meet, connect, and experience our fellow BGTT Voluntourist and savor the cuisine.

Day Two:

Good Morning! Waking up to the stunning views of Dover Beach crystal blue waters is such an incredible way to start your day in Barbados during the Black Girls Travel Too Voluntourism Experience.

Start your day off right with a succulent Bajan breakfast as you continue to bond, fostering friendships and camaraderie. After breakfast, you’ll prepare for your first day of volunteering in the community. The overview of the work project will help you understand the impact you’ll be making during your time in Barbados.

Once your day of giving back is complete you have the freedom to relax and unwind by taking a stroll down Dover Beach. Or perhaps taking in the Bajan sun at the pool or on the beach. EIther way you are gonna love it.

If you’re interested in further cultural immersions or exploring Barbadian heritage, you BGTT Ambassador can provide suggestions for optional activities during your free time.

Whatever you decide to do in the afternoon is yours to savor the sense of fulfillment from a day well spent and to indulge in some well-deserved relaxation. As you’ve not only contributed to the community but also had the chance to soak in the beauty of Barbados.

Day Three:

Rise and shine! Waking up to those breathtaking views in Barbados is a daily delight. It’s evident that Black Girls Travel Too designed this experience to offer a mix of cultural immersion, education, and opportunities for relaxation.

Starting our day off with a hearty delectable Bajan style breakfast that sets the tone for another fulfilling day ahead. As we focus on people to people cultural awareness and educational sessions. Which demonstrates a commitment to not only experiencing the local culture but also learning from it. Our day consists of activities planned to emphasize civil and global responsibility, emphasizing inclusiveness for both locals and travelers. Which promotes a sense of community and shared purpose.

Engaging deeper into the neighborhood alongside the Bajan community is a life altering experience. The sense of fulfillment that comes from helping those in need and working together towards a common goal is invaluable.

After the day’s project is complete, you have the flexibility to choose how you wish to spend the remainder of your day. Whether that be relaxing at a nearby beach reading a good book, exploring Bridgetown, or combining all these activities, the choice is yours.

Day Four:

After breakfast, you’ll have the opportunity to join the BGTT team aboard a luxury catamaran. Sailing along the south and west coast of Barbados offers a stunning perspective of the island’s beauty. The pristine Caribbean Sea provides the backdrop for a day filled with adventure and relaxation. This catamaran adventure offers a range of water activities, including swimming, snorkeling, and exploring shipwrecks. The chance to encounter sea turtles up close is a unique and memorable experience that will likely be a highlight of your trip.

Day Five:

Post a delicious breakfast, we’ll set out on a private island tour in a traditional style Bajan bus. This promises a mix of partying to local Bajan tunes and exploring the scenic beauty and diverse landscape of Barbados.

During the tour, you’ll have the chance to visit notable landmarks such as Gun Hill and Cherry Tree Hill. These locations offer historical and picturesque perspectives of the island. You’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the east coast, showcasing the natural beauty of Barbados. The diverse geography of the island provides plenty of opportunities for stunning vistas.

Following your adventure, we visit a popular neighborhood rum shop where we will have a true Bajan lunch before returning to our accommodations, where the remainder of the day is yours to do as you please.

Day Six:

Beach Breakfast: Starting the day with a rest and recovery breakfast on the beach is a tranquil and beautiful way to soak in the last moments of your Barbados experience. The blue waters of Barbados provide a stunning backdrop for your morning meal.

Reflection and Relaxation: This breakfast provides a perfect opportunity to reflect on the incredible experiences you’ve had and the connections you’ve made during your time in Barbados. It’s a time for relaxation and conversation with your fellow Experiencers.

Farewell Dinner: In the evening, you’ll come together one last time for your official farewell dinner. This is a special moment to reminisce about the time you’ve spent serving the communities of Barbados and the impact you’ve made. Sharing stories and reflecting on your journey is a fitting way to conclude your trip.

Day Seven:

Our final morning of an experience is always bitter sweet. As we come together for our last Bajan breakfast with your fellow travelers. It’s time to savor the flavors of the island and the camaraderie you’ve built throughout your journey.

As you prepare to start your journey back home, remember that the bonds and memories you’ve created with Black Girls Travel Too will stay with you. While it may be the end of this particular experience, it’s a see you again somewhere around the world soon. Travel has a way of bringing people together, and your shared experiences in Barbados are just the beginning of many more adventures to come.
